Product Developemnt

If there’s one thing about me… my ideas don’t stop. And I’ve always been this way.

Fun fact: I was top 3 in all of South Africa in an entrepreneurial competition when I was 7 years old.

Children’s books.
Children’s toys.
Baby products for Hiccapop.
Luggage innovations.
Emergency tech.
Apps.

Some made it to market. Some didn’t.
But every single one taught me something.

We live in a time where almost everything is at our fingertips. (And I figured most of this out before ChatGPT… which now feels like the dark ages!)

You can learn how to prototype.
You can learn how to source.
You can learn how to file.
You can learn how to build.

You just have to be resourceful and willing to put in the TIME (sooooooooo much time….) and due diligence.

Everyone is busy. I truly believe we should try to figure things out ourselves before adding ourselves to someone else’s to-do list. Not because we have to do it alone forever, but because understanding the process makes you stronger.

There are YouTube videos for everything. Forums. AI tools. Overseas manufacturers. Freelancers. Patent databases. 3D printers. Beta testers. Templates. Communities.

We don’t get to say, “I don’t know how.”

We say, “I don’t know yet.”

Being a solution seeker isn’t about having all the answers.
It’s about being willing to figure it out.

Messy. Iterative. Humbling. Expensive sometimes (most of the time….).
But doable.

You don’t need to be the smartest person in the room.
You need to be the most willing to learn.
